Impactful Projects of Zone 1B, 9 and 10

We are pleased to announce the Rotary Project Showcase (RPS) competition to be held during the 2025 Genting Rotary Institute, an extraordinary platform to celebrate and showcase the remarkable work of Rotary clubs in our Zones.

The primary objective of the RPS competition is for Rotary Clubs to present their significant and impactful projects to a wider audience in the region. It provides opportunities to foster an environment where ideas can be shared, and international partnerships can be forged.

We invite all Districts within our Zones to participate in this exciting event and share stories of your exemplary projects.

Project Timeline

March 15, 2025
The RPS Competition Criteria and Submission Templates will be published in the 2025 GRI Website- https://2025gentingrotaryinstitute.org/

March 15 – August 15, 2025
Introduction of the Rotary Project Showcase (RPS). Each District to carry-out their respective RPS Competition based on the Criteria and select a winner among their District Rotary club and Submit to the GRI-RPS Team. One winner per District will be accepted.

August 15 – September 15, 2025
GRI-RPS Team and a select team of judges will select the top 10 projects.

September 15 – October 15, 2025
GRI-RPS Team and a select team of judges as well as extending it to “Public Voting” to select the top 3 projects.

2025 Genting Rotary Institute – November 28-30, 2025
The 3 top Winning Rotary Showcase Projects will be announced.

 

Project Showcase Competition Criteria

Rotary Action Plan relation (30%).
  • Impact & Reach
  • Demonstrates measurable and tangible benefits to the community.
  • Addresses a significant need or problem effectively.
  • Reaches a broad or targeted audience, depending on the project's scope.


Alignment with Rotary’s Mission and Values (30%)
  • Reflects Rotary’s core values of service, integrity, diversity, and fellowship.
  • Aligns with one or more of Rotary’s Areas of Focus (e.g., peacebuilding, disease prevention, water and sanitation, education, etc.).


Innovation & Use of creative approaches (15%).

  • Introduces unique or creative solutions to address community challenges.
  • Demonstrates originality in approach, design, or implementation.


Sustainability (15%)

  • Long-term plans for continuing leadership development.
  • Ensures long-term benefits and viability of the project.
  • Includes plans for ongoing maintenance, funding, or community involvement.


Collaboration (10%)


  • The level of cross-district/NGOs cooperation and knowledge sharing.
  • Engages the local community in planning, implementation, and evaluation.
  • Empowers community members to take ownership of the project.
  • Resourcefulness and Efficiency.
  • Utilizes resources (financial, human, and material) effectively and efficiently.
  • Demonstrates cost-effectiveness and maximizes impact with available resources.
