Project Description
Empowering the community for 17 years, RC Pag-asa has implemented the Kanawan Indigenous Community Development Program in Morong, Bataan, uplifting the Aetas living on top of a mountain accessible by hiking. Annual activities include in-school daily feeding (“Sangkap”) serving approximately 330 students, mass feeding, book and school kit donations, medical/dental mission, tree planting, and sustainable gardens (Gulayan sa Paaralan). The club also previously installed internet, roofing for the muti-purpose court, deepwell with elevated tanks—still maintained today—and initiated livelihood projects such as honey and noodle-making. This holistic, long-term, sustainable, and community-driven program ensures lasting impact and empowerment for Kanawan.
